The Fjord Defence Light Ground Mount System 100 (LGM100) is designed to provide a lightweight, compact, and stable platform for accurate firing of light and medium machine guns. The system features an integrated Traverse & Elevation (T&E) mechanism and recoil mitigation system, reducing peak forces acting on the platform and ensuring consistent high hit probability.
Constructed from a hybrid carbon and fiberglass material, the complete system, including T&E mechanism, weighs less than 5.3 kg. Its compact design allows the tripod, weapon mount, and T&E system to be folded into a small transport package (600 x 200 x 200 mm), enabling easy carrying by a single operator or efficient storage in vehicles.
The system is highly adaptable, supporting a wide range of Western light and medium machine guns through compatible Fjord Defence mounts. All legs are adjustable, with telescopic rear legs and an adjustable front leg, allowing flexible height and terrain adaptation. The system enables rapid setup and packing, and is designed for reliable operation in harsh environments, including saltwater conditions.
Equipped with a NATO STANREC 4796 pintle interface, the LGM100 ensures seamless integration with Fjord Defence MMG mounts and legacy systems.
